Not to sure where.....

.....this is going... I have one thing in mind and something else comes out when i start painting. I want this to come out really nice with so much detail that you can stare at it forever and everytime you see it again you notice something new. It's sort of what an altar would look like if I were to pass. Assuming that I would have my own kids and grandchildren that might put forth such an effort to create something that would be in my honor. With a sense of the fashionista in me, the artist in me, and the always wandering restless soul that I am, along with a little tradition, culture, and family backround.

Dia De Los Muertos is a very festive event. A time to celebrate the life of those who have passed. I am currently helping a friend build an altar for one of her family memebers. It will be displayed at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary. There's a lot of work that is going into this altar. From small personal memories to her family's roots. It's going to be an amazing set up, and put me in just the right mood for this piece.

This painting is for the Dia De Los Muertos show at the Sabor Lounge. It will be taking place October 30th. I am so greatful to be a part of the show and to be displaying with such amazing artists.. Here is a non-completed image of what is to come...
